ABOUT KYOJU KEN CARR
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Master Ken Carr has over 30 years of martial arts experience. He is a world renowned martial artist whose skill in both the traditional and competition circuits is highly prized and sought after.
He has experience with martial art choreography, trains several stunt actors and has developed martial art weaponry for the Hollywood film industry. His students include members of the V10 - Women Stunt Professionals and other martial art actors.
He has held world and national titles in both karate and weapons forms and has been inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame 5 times and twice into the Masters Hall of Fame. In 2008, he was awarded his Ph.D./Ma.D.Sc.,
Doctorate of Martial Arts Philosophy & Martial Arts Science; from the University of Asian Martial Arts Study. Dr. Carr instructs at every level: from martial arts basics to the art of competition, from novice to master level training in both karate and kobudo.
Master Carr also manufactures a complete line of traditional Japanese and Okinawan weaponry and offers one of the few comprehensive master level Kobudo programs in Southern California.
Master Carr has 5 children who all train under him. His oldest son, Sensei Chris Carr has earned his 3rd dan and is a regular instructor for the school.
